How I work
Therapies I offer
Most people do best with a blend of approaches. Here is what I am trained in, what each one is for, and how we decide together which to use.
Most of my work is built on CBT. It maps the loop between what you think, what you feel and what you do, then changes it a step at a time. NICE-recommended for anxiety, OCD and depression.
A structured trauma therapy that works on the memory itself, so a past event stops firing as though it were still happening.
A newer OCD treatment that works on the reasoning that makes an obsessional doubt feel credible. An alternative for people who can't get on with exposure work, or for whom it hasn't held.
Loosening the grip of difficult thoughts and feelings, instead of arguing with them, so you can get on with what matters to you.
A way of meeting the different, often conflicting parts of you with curiosity: the critic, the perfectionist, the part that shuts down.
Not sure which would suit you?
